William J. He represents clients across a broad spectrum of industries and technologies, including financial, information technology/data, healthcare, telecommunications, heavy machinery, consumer and industrial electronics, consumer products, and food packaging.
Bill provides his legal services with a solid understanding and appreciation of the perspectives of in-house counsel, management and technical staff. Prior to his law firm practice, Bill worked for a major electronics corporation in the areas of telecommunications, consumer electronics, and automotive and industrial electronics.

Bill has successfully represented numerous clients in litigation matters, from both the enforcement and defense perspectives. In enforcement efforts, Bill has helped clients leverage their intellectual property to reap significant value, including permanent injunctions against key competitors and significant damage recoveries. In defense efforts, he has successfully navigated around infringement charges and saved his clients from multi-million dollar damage awards. He has been to trial numerous times, including both successful defenses and enforcement in multi-million dollar cases.
At the appellate level, Bill has handled numerous appeals involving patent infringement before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Bill’s litigation experience extends to various administrative proceedings, including trademark cancellation and opposition proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, and FTC and ITC proceedings.
In addition to his degree in mechanical engineering, Bill also completed significant coursework in pursuit of an advanced degree in electrical engineering, particularly while working in the electronics industry.
