Abstract: Please join us for our kick-off meeting in September where Neal Gerber Eisenberg partner and Litigation Practice Group member Angela R. Elbert will talk about advance conflict waivers. With firms merging on a daily basis, is it possible that firms can represent both policyholders in coverage litigation and insurance companies? Advance waivers are viewed by some as a way to accomplish this task. Angela will discuss a hypothetical advance waiver and whether it can withstand a motion to disqualify based on the ethics rules and relevant case law and ethics opinions.
