Amir Azaran Associate aazaran@ngelaw.com Phone: (312) 269-5683 Fax: (312) 269-1747 Amir Azaran is a member of Neal Gerber Eisenberg’s Information Technology Practice Group. Amir focuses his practice on technology-related transactions, including systems integration, software development and technology licensing, outsourcing engagements, and consulting and support services agreements. Before law school, Amir was an engineer, and in the late 1990s left engineering for the information technology industry, eventually working as senior systems administrator for the Board of Trade Clearing Corporation. While there, he served as project manager for several business-critical IT implementations, including the deployment of software management and financial communications systems. He also helped design and deploy new database infrastructure to achieve faster and more reliable trade clearing processes for the Chicago Board of Trade. Amir has co-authored a number of papers on software licensing, enterprise resource planning (ERP) transactions, data breach notification laws, and various aspects of outsourcing transactions. He received his J.D. from University of Chicago Law School in 2006. While in law school, he served as executive editor of the Chicago Journal of International Law. Amir received his B.S. from University of Illinois, Urbana in 1995 and his M.S. from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1997. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the International Technology Law Association, and the Iranian American Bar Association, and is fluent in Persian. Bar Admissions
